Great Things

Just returned home from a short weekend in St. Augustine with my two daughters.  Had a wonderful time talking, shopping for our ETSY shops, eating, and of course walking all around the vintage shops and antique malls.

I just fell in love with the vintage egg tray holder at the top.  First one I have found like this.

Second photo is  my home ground tomatoes, they were already to pick when I arrived on Sunday afternoon.

A wonderful vintage find of old cafe glasses and handmade wood tote for any vintage kitchen.  One of the things I picked up for http://www.dogwoodflowerdesigns.etsy.com.

Off to VBS celebration for the church children tonight and a great week of learning more about my LORD.  God's Blessings to All. 

Upcycled Shabby Cottage

Just finished painting and distressing these three pieces to be added to my http://www.southerntouches etsy.com shop for upcycled vintage pieces.

A brass upcycled to a shabby painted white and distressed display bow.
A painted white metal basket for displaying florals or fruit.
A vintage metal handmade vase painted white and distressed.

All pieces would look great in a cottage or seaside decor.

Vintage Lamps

Two vintage lamps that will soon be appearing in my etsy shop DogwoodFlowerDesigns.

The top one was made from vintage heavy glass ashtrays and painted flat pink on the uderside with a tierd design.

The bottom is a vintage handmade wood nautical design with a pullchain  and a swivel light.

Great for any vintage style decor:  Shabby chic, cottage chic, farmhouse or nautical.

vintage milkglass

A few odds and ends I have collected over the past few month.   Great vintage avon and unmarked milkglass that would look great in any small area of the home.

Milkglass old and not so old is one of my favorite things to collect and use in my home.

Odds and ends, coins, trinkets, or keys would fit these pieces nicely.

Vintage Style French Country Cloche

Just finished this special order for a customer in my Southern Touches Shop on ETSY.

I really like taking all the odd pieces of metal and glass, combining them until I see what I like.  Special touches added and half the cost of the antique cloches.

Hope she enjoys it as much as I did designing it for her.

Restoration on Vintage Refrigerators

Snapshots of some very old restored refrigerators and one great icebox.
Any of these would fancy up any vintage kitchen or familyroom and be great to have.

Trash to treasures on any home deocr is a visit back to grandmother's house.

A Day at the Flea Market

A day at the flea market in a near by city on Saturday morning.

We hand breakfast with the family and then decided to roam around for a while.

A few finds but most was out of my league in price.
